Disclaimer
Last updated: May 2026
This Disclaimer applies to all content on Pogodex. Please read it carefully. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these statements.
1. Unofficial fan site
Pogodex is an unofficial fan-made Pokémon GO resource. Pogodex is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by Niantic Inc., Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon and all related trademarks are the property of their respective owners. See Trademark Notice for the full position.
2. Not professional advice
Content on Pogodex is for informational and entertainment purposes. Articles include analysis, recommendations, and editorial opinion. Nothing on the Site is professional, financial, legal, medical, or therapeutic advice. In-game decisions remain your decisions and the consequences are yours.
3. Recommendations are starting points
Pokémon GO is a complex game with stochastic mechanics (RNG), evolving balance, and player-specific contexts (roster, trainer level, available stardust, region, weather, social play options). Our recommendations are tested in our conditions and reflect our best analysis at the time of publication. They are starting points, not guarantees:
- A “best counter” team that wins for us may not win for you if your roster is shallower, your trainer level is lower, or weather conditions differ.
- A “best moveset” recommendation reflects current meta; the meta changes when Niantic ships balance updates.
- A “worth investing” verdict reflects our judgment about stardust value; your stardust priorities may differ.
- Tier list rankings reflect our ladder experience and may not match yours, particularly in different rank brackets or regional metas.
4. RNG is real
Pokémon GO contains random elements: shiny rates, IV rolls, weather rolls, encounter rates, raid invitations, throw bonuses. We can describe odds where they are known. We cannot make probabilistic outcomes deterministic. You may follow our advice perfectly and still not get the shiny. That is the game working as designed; it is not our recommendation failing.
5. Stardust opportunity cost
Stardust is a finite resource for most trainers. When we recommend powering up a Pokémon, we mean it — but we do not know your roster. A Pokémon we recommend may not be the right next investment for you if your roster has gaps elsewhere. Articles flag opportunity cost where it is significant; readers should still apply their own judgment.
6. No financial or commercial advice
Pokémon GO has paid components: PokéCoins, raid passes, ticketed events, Remote Raid passes, store bundles. Where we discuss these, we describe value relative to gameplay use. We do not provide financial or consumer-purchase advice. Decisions to spend real money on the game are your decisions.
7. No facilitation of cheating
Pogodex does not endorse, promote, or facilitate any practice that violates Niantic’s Pokémon GO Terms of Service, including GPS spoofing, third-party software that reads game data or automates gameplay, multi-accounting beyond the family-account framework, account-sharing, or buying/selling/transferring Pokémon GO accounts. Violation of Niantic’s Terms can result in soft-bans, temporary suspensions, or permanent account termination. Those consequences are between you and Niantic; they are not our concern, but we cannot help you avoid them.
8. External links
The Site contains links to external sources (Niantic’s official channels, PokeMiners, Silph Road, other publications). We are not responsible for the content, security, or practices of those external sites. The presence of a link is not an endorsement.
9. Affiliate and advertising relationships
Some pages contain affiliate links (disclosed per Affiliate Disclosure) and most pages display third-party advertising. The presence of advertising does not constitute endorsement of the advertiser. Editorial recommendations are not influenced by advertising or affiliate revenue; see Editorial Standards.
10. Currency, time zones, and regional variation
Pokémon GO has regional differences in event timing, encounter pools, and ticketed-event availability. Where we discuss schedules or regional content, we attempt to specify the region but the player should always confirm against their own region’s official Niantic communications.
11. Game version and shelf life of articles
Pokémon GO ships balance updates and feature changes regularly. Articles are dated; the “Last updated” timestamp reflects when the article was last reviewed against the live game. Older articles may not reflect current mechanics. Where an article is materially out of date, we either update it or banner it; if you find an outdated article without notice, please email info [at] pogodex [punto] space.
12. No guarantee of availability
The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted access. The Site may be unavailable due to maintenance, hosting issues, or factors beyond our control.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pogodex, its publisher, and its contributors are not liable for any in-game losses (lost raid passes, lost stardust, mis-spent PokéCoins, missed event windows), real-money losses (paid-event tickets, store bundles), or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. The detailed liability framework is in our Terms of Service.
14. Jurisdictional considerations
Pogodex is published from Italy. The Site is accessible globally; readers from outside Italy should be aware that local laws may impose additional considerations on their use of the Site. Where local consumer-protection law conflicts with the limitation-of-liability framework above, the local law applies to the extent it is mandatory.
15. Changes to this Disclaimer
This Disclaimer is reviewed periodically and may be updated. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after revision constitutes acceptance.
